X thread splitter
Paste a long draft and get numbered posts that each fit under 280 characters. Each post gets a 1/n counter, and you copy them one by one.
How the splitter works
The splitter fills each post with whole words until the next word would go over the limit. It leaves room for the 1/n number, and it keeps blank-line paragraph breaks as natural stops where it can. A single word longer than a post is cut at the limit.
Each post is checked with X's weighted count, so emoji and links are measured the way X measures them.
Tips for a thread people finish
Start the first post with the result, not the setup. Keep one idea per post. Put the link in the last post or the reply, since a link changes how the post is counted and shown. Read each part once more after splitting, because a cut in the middle of a sentence is easy to miss.

How long should each post in a thread be?
Each post can use up to 280 weighted characters. The splitter leaves a few characters for the 1/n number, so the posts stay under the limit once numbered.
Does the splitter post the thread for me?
No. It gives you the text, and you paste each post into X yourself. Nothing is sent or stored by the tool.
Will my line breaks survive?
Paragraph breaks are used as stopping points where possible. Line breaks inside a post are kept as spaces in this version.
